TrailHead Creative seeks a project manager to help direct workflow, ensure project timelines, and communicate with clients and freelancers. TrailHead Creative is a small, growing team of creatives obsessed with the outdoors. This position has the potential to become full-time.

About TrailHead Creative
We’re a brand marketing agency that specializes in helping small to medium-sized businesses grow. We primarily work with brands in the outdoor space but welcome any clients that align with our core values of Community, Conservation, and Craft. Our primary clientele includes fly fishing guides, outdoor NPO’s and regional businesses focused on community building or conservation.
Role Overview
As our project manager, you will manage project timelines and outcomes. A detail-oriented person, you should guarantee that all projects are delivered on time and budget, with all necessary deliverables. You will be directly responsible for communicating with clients, freelancers, and our internal creative team.
Key Responsibilities
Own the development, review, and approval of creative projects
This includes print (including catalogs, mailers, invitations, linebooks and advertisements) and video productions (including commercials, social media and out of home)
Develop timelines and manage the flow of creative projects from initial creative brief and development to delivery and production of final assets
Ensure projects are prioritized, resourced, meet requirements, align with brand standards, and are delivered on time
Partner with other project managers to assess capacity across the broader creative team based on an understanding of all active and upcoming work
Regularly communicate and present project schedules, statuses, and updates to various team members
Identify obstacles the creative team might face within a project lifecycle and proactively finds solutions to avoid delays in project completion
Act as a primary contact between the creative team (graphic designers, web designers, copywriters, photo studio) and business teams (marketing, wholesale, e-commerce), to coordinate timelines, provide required information/documents, follow up on outstanding deliverables, and ensure flawless, timely execution
Ensure projects are routed for proper approval
Organize, attend, and lead kick-off and status meetings with key players to ensure that project needs and deadlines are being met, and send a clear and concise recap of next steps
Proactively and consistently conceive of, define, and develop process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity across the creative team as well as cross-functional teams.
Work with external vendors to guide and enable their success and ensure they are agile in response to changes and needs of various stakeholders
Manage vendor relationships and resources regarding deadlines and budget needs
Competencies
Proven ability to handle multiple projects at once and adapt quickly to changing priorities
Highly organized and attentive to detail
Ability to collaborate cross multi-department teams
Passion for the outdoors, conservation, community and craft
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledgeable in creative input and design direction to assist the creative team with feedback from executive and business teams
Ability to negotiate and manage external agencies & partners
Understand of video post-production, music licensing and voice over talent.
Knowledgeable in all areas of the creative process, from briefs to creative development through completion.
Interest to learn and develop personal skills and project management abilities.
