White Stone Oysters

We began partnering with White Stone at the start of the pandemic. The business needed to pivot from primarily servicing restaurants to a direct-to-consumer model as wholesale orders dropped off and restaurants closed. Over the next two years, we created a bustling B2C business.

Brand Positioning in a Pandemic

White Stone Oyster Company has a unique way of growing oysters. Using top water cages, they allow their oysters to be constantly buffeted by the waves of the Chesapeake Bay. This results in a smaller, but meatier oyster with a lower salinity and a vegetal, sweet finish. Their farming methods also play a role in the conservation efforts of the Chesapeake Bay.

We worked with White Stone to develop a distinct brand voice, rebuilt their entire social media presence, and created a robust online sales channel. During this time, we created unique content including social posts, photography, sales campaigns, influencer campaigns, videos, packaging, email marketing, and more. The result of this work was continual month-over-month profit and a competitive capture of market share for online seafood retailers.
